[Discuss] CS calculation update

I've been wondering - is CS actually used by the game for anything, or
is it just a convenient way for us humans to compare unit strengths
and the game actually uses the specific stats for each calculation?

Put another way, you say this change will probably make unit's CS
rise, will that increase their combat effectiveness?
