And the sooner people start reading before replying, the less time
I'll have to take correcting people. I gave 2 options, the 2nd didn't
say Tom had to do anything, it simply stated the consequence of him
not doing something. He has a choice to either tell us the answers or
not, he does not have a choice about the consequences of that
decision.

How is "X sounds like Y" stated as fact? Both your examples are
clearly stated as speculation and if anyone reads them as fact, that's
their stupidity being the problem.
