[Discuss] Breaking Through the Front Lines

A couple of times recently, I've been involved in a battle, as
attackers, where my side has had modestly superior numbers, and
seemed to be winning--until some of the infantry started breaking
through the front lines, ending up surrounded by enemy units, and
quickly finished off.

The breaking through part is relatively new code; I think it first
appeared a few months ago. Has anyone else had this problem? Or,
better yet, figured out a way to stop it from happening? I'm not
trying to whine here--I like the feature's realism, and I think it
presents real possibilities; I'm just trying to see if, together, the
community can understand the feature and how to use it to advantage,
rather than being crippled by it.

"So we went to Atari and said, 'Hey, we've got this amazing thing,
even built with some of your parts, and what do you think about
funding us? Or we' ll give it to you. We just want to do it. Pay our
salary, we'll come work for you.' And they said, 'No.' So then we
went to Hewlett-Packard, and they said, 'Hey, we don't need you. You
haven't got through college yet.'"
