[Discuss] Normal monster activity on Beluaterra?

I know that at least the regions of Avalon that border Enweil are very
frequently spawning monsters and undead. While in Enweil, they are
very sparse.

Could it have to do with the mountains there? Or that it's badlands?
Or something else less arbitrary than being a different realm?
