[Discuss] Leaving the Game

Well to put it bluntly I've grown fed up with BattleMaster.  Over the past 
five years I've seen it grow, and I've seen it prosper.  Along the way I 
was able to give it what assistance I may, but now I'm seeing it tear 
itself apart.  The players themselves have drawn up battle lines which 
extend past the game and into the real world, and that is unconscionable 
in my opinion.  What with the goings on in OR, the constant complaints 
about the Titans, realms which wantonly fine and abuse my characters. 
There is little enough reason to play the game anymore.

It's a sad day really, because I honestly loved the community that once 
was here.  Now though, I've grown to detest pretty much everyone in it for 
one reason or another.  The betrayals I've been witness to are just 
despicable, and the lack of honest conviction in appreciating the hard 
work of everyone makes my stomach turn.  So that's it, I'm quitting. The 
Relak family is going to be no more.  Gregor, Boeth, Lelnor, Serko, Nerol 
they'll all just be a distant memory.  The game probably won't miss me, or 
my characters; and to tell the truth I won't miss them either.  Player ID 
34, Loren Schmidt is leaving.

Say good-bye to this ole chap everyone, I'm fighting my last fight.  I've 
not put in my own efforts over the years to continue with this farce of a 
world.  So long, and good luck to you all.  Perhaps our paths will cross 
again.

PS - I've asked my brother if he would like to take over my account, so if 
you see the name change it'll be him, Mike.  He's a really great guy, a 
coder no less.  So if he does take over my account, please try and make a 
better impression on him than you've made on me in recent months.

PPS - Tom, thanks for all the years of gaming fun.  From SpellMaster to 
BattleMaster I've grown into who I am today.  I'll always remember the two 
with fondness as the years pass.
